How I work
Three steps to run a cleanup.

Add me to your browser
Install the Chrome extension, sign in to the intended X account and open its panel. It uses that existing session to act on your account.
step 2: point
Choose what goes
Posts, likes or reposts, your call. If a scan misses older items, extract your X archive and select a supported data file. It is read locally. Unavailable items may still be missing.
step 3: walk away
I take my time
I space out requests and wait when X signals a rate limit. Large jobs can take longer, and X changes or account restrictions can interrupt a run. Keep the X tab open and check the result. From version 0.4.4 I ask your computer not to sleep during a run. Closing a laptop lid, Mac or otherwise, still pauses it until the computer wakes.
The deletion request path
Deletion requests go from your browser to X. Your archive, post content, password and cookies are not sent to our servers. Purchased licence keys are checked with the payment provider. The extension also retrieves a settings file and can send limited anonymous error reports to tweetxdelete.com. See the request contents and privacy details.

Choose a type and an optional Date limit to select items before a date. Keep the last 7 days starts enabled, and Stop after caps a run. No keyword or engagement filters.

Is this safe for my account?
TweetXDelete runs in your existing X session and waits when X signals a rate limit. This does not guarantee that X will never restrict your account. Changes on X, account restrictions and unavailable posts can interrupt a cleanup. Start with a small run and check the result.
Why is deletion paced instead of instant?
The extension spaces out requests and waits when X signals a rate limit. Large jobs can take longer, and there is no guaranteed completion time. Keep the X tab open while the job runs. From version 0.4.4 the extension asks your computer not to sleep during a run. Closing a laptop lid, Mac or otherwise, still pauses it until the computer wakes.
How do I reach older posts missing from a scan?
X may not return your full history in a scan. Request your X data archive, extract the ZIP and select a supported data file in the extension. The file is read locally without being uploaded. It can supply older items, but unavailable posts and gaps in the archive mean that finding or removing every item is not guaranteed.

Do you ever see my password, DMs or posts?
The extension does not ask for your X password. Your archive, post content, DMs and cookies are not sent to our servers. Deletion requests go from your browser to X. Purchased licence keys are checked with the payment provider. The extension also retrieves a settings file and can send limited anonymous error reports to tweetxdelete.com. Which filters can I use?
Choose posts, likes or reposts. Date limit selects items before a chosen date, not between two dates. Keep the last 7 days starts enabled, and Stop after caps a run. There are no keyword or engagement filters. For likes, dates refer to the original post, not when you liked it; imported likes have no date. See the likes guide for the archive settings.
Can I undo a deletion?
TweetXDelete cannot restore deleted posts. Download your X archive before a cleanup if you want a copy. Removing a like does not delete the original post; if it remains accessible, you can like it again manually.
Can you automatically delete posts older than 30 days?
No. TweetXDelete has no scheduler and runs while your X tab is open. You can manually start a cleanup with a Date limit, but it will not repeat automatically when more posts pass that date.
